What the listing says it is

The App Store page calls Ice Fishing Derby 2 a 3D ice fishing game that mixes “realistic tactics with fast, gamified fishing.” You plan a day, pick gear, and try to out-fish a field. Money, equipment, and body heat are named as things you manage across multi-day derbies. There is also a free-fishing mode with no weigh-in timer.

How the core loop reads on the card

Three modes are printed: Free Fishing (keep equipment between trips, earn gems, unlock better free-fishing gear), Open Derbies (everyone starts a five-day event with limited shop credit and basic gear), and Pro Derbies (more lakes and species once Pro is unlocked). I am repeating the store’s outline. I am not adding a hidden fourth mode.

Who it suits

Someone who wants a derby structure with a shop and a weather/heat constraint, and who is willing to sit in a 9+ listing with in-app purchases. The rating sample is the largest of the four cards I opened (1,149). That is why it sits at No. 1 on this almanac — not because I ran a tournament.

Limits I can stand behind

The public page says Free with in-app purchases. It does not give me a clean “contains advertising / does not contain advertising” line the way Premium does. I left ads as “not stated on the card.” File size is 193 MB. iOS 12.0 or later.

What it is not

It is not the 2013 Premium original. It is not a tutorial-heavy simulation in the Pro Pilkki sense. It is not something you download from Faywor. If you want the binary, Apple’s store is the door.
