- Download the file stating the cut off for various branches and categories
- Match the score obtained by you with respect to the cut off mentioned in the file.
How To Calculate Marks For Gate 2023
The total number of questions is 65 and the total marks for the exam are 100. The calculation of marks can be done as follows-
- In the case of general aptitude and engineering mathematics, 5 questions will carry 2 marks and 5 questions of 1 marks. For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted
- For the core discipline section, 20 questions will be of 1 mark type and 25 questions are of 2 marks. An important thing to note is that there is no negative markings for Numerical Ability Type (NAT) Questions while rest have a negative marking of 1/3 marks
- The marks obtained is used to calculate the GATE Score.
